There are things we have been taught through different denominational perspectives as to what healing is and is not that get in the way of receiving healing. It's important to
understand the whole provision of the word and get rid of the roadblocks. One of the big roadblocks is the traditions of men. The definition of traditions is a theology which is a doctrine believe to have divine authority though not in the scriptures. It is the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation. Jesus addressed this with the Pharisees in Matthew 15, when they asked Him why the disciples were breaking one of their traditions. Jesus told them that they nullify God's word for the sake of their traditions and this makes their worship vain before the Lord. God is looking for a people not consumed in the law but who's heart are after Him and those who desire relationship.
Matt 15: 1-9 "Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!” Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’ he is not to ‘honor his father’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.'"
One of these traditions or beliefs is "Healing is not for Everyone." The enemy uses this to get the church of justify sickness. People will say, "I can't see everyone healed" or "I don't believe it's for the whole church." If this is true, then why don't we ask if salvation is for everyone. God desires that none perish but all come to repentance. Salvation is available to all but not everyone chooses or receives what is available or belongs to them. Roman's 10:9-10 "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." The word "saved" in this scripture means to live, revive, make safe, escape, deliver, to cure, preserve, rescue. Healing is part of the atonement and is available to every person the same as salvation. Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever" Healing for the physical body is in the atonement for all.
Matt. 12:15 “....And many followed him, and he healed them ALL...”
Luke 6:19 “And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power cam out of from him and healed them ALL.”
Matt 4:24 “....and whatever their sickness or disease, (or if they were demon-possessed or epileptic or paralyzed) he healed them ALL.”
Luke 4:40 “When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus ALL who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them...”
Matt 15:30 “....They laid them before Jesus and he healed them ALL.”
Matt. 8:16 “....and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick..."
Healing is available to every person, the same as salvation:
Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." The word griefs in the Hebrew means disease, grief, illness, sick, sicknesses and sorrows means pain, sorrow and sufferings. Christ bore all our disease, sickness, pain and sufferings. He was wounded for our 'transgressions' which is our rebellious acts of sin and bruised for our 'iniquities' which is our inherited desire to sin that passes through generations.
